7 DAYS DESERT TOURS FROM MARRAKECH

As part of a “7 DAYS DESERT TOURS” package, you will be picked up in the morning from your hotel in Marrakech or the airport and driven to the desert through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and over the Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, there will be places to stop and take in the beautiful views from a wide angle.

The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou is the next stop on this trip, and it’s a must-see. This village with walls has been put on the World Heritage List by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has also been in a number of movies, such as Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and others.

After that, we’ll go to Ouarzazate and see the movie sets where a lot of great movies were made. We’ll have lunch break and then drive through a big group of palm trees in Skoura on our way to the Rose Valley. Last but not least, we’ll spend the night at Boumalne Dades.

We’ll drive through the Dades Valley after breakfast. We are going to stop somewhere that gives us a great view of the valley and the Dades gorges. After that, we’ll keep going to Todra Gorges. A big canyon in the mountains was cut by the Todra River. On both sides of the river are tall red rocks.

You can take a walk and enjoy the lovely views. After that, we’ll drive through Touroug and Tinjdad, which are places with lots of palm trees. You can eat lunch on the way.

Last but not least, we get to Erg Chebbi’s Merzouga Dunes. You’ll check into your hotel and then have a magical dinner with traditional Berber music. The hotel offers unique and comfy rooms that let you fully enjoy the peaceful beauty of the desert night.

After a delectable breakfast, we will proceed to Khamlia village, where you will be captivated by the authentic Gnawa rhythms. We will then deviate from the conventional route to explore the dunes on an unpaved road and halt for tea with nomads in traditional Berber tents. This immersive experience provides a view into a distinct lifestyle, and you will have the opportunity to consume Berber pizza for lunch.

In the late afternoon, you will prepare for an extraordinary camel journey into the center of the dunes to witness the spectacular sunset after unwinding at the hotel. Upon your arrival at the camp, you will be welcomed with mint tea before retiring to your comfortable shelters, which feature an ensuite toilet and shower, as the Sahara illuminates its breathtaking evening colors. The group’s musical performance around the fire enhances the allure of the celestial Sahara night as you consume dinner.

Don’t forget to rise early today to witness the magnificent sunrise, as the dunes come to life with a mesmerizing display of hues and silhouettes. This awe-inspiring spectacle is not to be missed. Following brunch, you will return to Merzouga on your camel, meet your driver, and proceed to Ouarzazate.

We will make a halt at the lively traditional market in Rissani during our journey. A vibrant display of colors, fragrances, and sounds will welcome you as you meander through the congested streets of the city on a market day, which falls on Sundays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. Subsequently, we travel to Alnif before following the picturesque route through the Draa valley to Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night.

We will explore the metropolis of Ourzazate today after breakfast at your hotel. This city is known as the “Hollywood of Africa” and serves as the entryway to the Sahara desert. Ouarzazate, which is the site of the renowned Atlas studio and the historic Kasbah of Taourirt, provides a captivating perspective on Moroccan cinematic history.

We continue our voyage and arrive at the captivating Ait Ben Haddou, where we investigate the ancient Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is steeped in history and immortalized in film.

We will send farewell to this captivating fortress and return to the lively city of Marrakech. Our journey will take us through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, where we will pause to appreciate the intriguing Telouet Kasbah. Afterward, we will transport you to your accommodation in Marrakech.
